PM to host free Independence Concert at NAPA

The Prime Minister will play host to a free Independence Concert for members of the public this week.

The event - the Prime Minister’s Independence Concert - is taking place at the Lord Kitchener (Aldwyn Roberts) Auditorium of the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA), Port of Spain, at 7.30 pm on Wednesday.

The PM's office says the concert will pay tribute to the icons, with a stellar line up for this year’s presentation including Relator, the Holistic Music School featuring Brother Resistance and Rellon Brown, David Boothman with Caribbean Renaissance, Shiva Manick, Michael Boothman, The Jazz Pickle featuring Ralph Davies, Vaugnette Bigford and Band, and the Massy Trinidad All Stars Steel Orchestra.

Tickets are being made available to the public free of charge at NAPA and SAPA, with two people being allowed on each ticket.
