Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley leaves for the United States on vacation on Thursday but is expected to be back in time for start of screening of People’s National Movement’s (PNM) Local Government nominees which begins August 17th.
Rowley will leave on August 4th for Los Angeles for two weeks.
He said he will do a medical check while overseas and “take a few days off.”
Rowley will leave T&T soon after Finance Minister Colm Imbert returns early this week from his overseas bond-raising trip.
The office of the PNM general secretary recently issued an advisory on the local government nominee screening schedule recently.
The exercise will take place from August 17th to 26th to obtain nominees for the 136 positions in the 14 regional corporations.
