PM offers condolences to family of Kamaluddin Mohammed

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley is offering condolences to the family of former Government Minister Kamaluddin Mohammed who died at home aroung 10.30 last night.

A statement from the Office of the Prime Minister describes Mohammed's contribution as "outstanding and exemplary".

The following is the Prime Minister's statement.

"I wish to express condolences to the family, relatives and friends of Dr. Kamaluddin Mohammed on his passing.
 
During his illustrious life Dr. Mohammed distinguished himself on the political landscape as a founding member of the People’s National Movement , Member of Parliament and a Government Minister in various Ministries as well as an Ambassador.
 
Dr. Mohammed’s contribution to the development of Trinidad and Tobago is evident and our nation is grateful for his laudable contribution. His commitment to our nation has been outstanding and exemplary and we hope that it will continue to serve as an inspiration to others in this regard.
 
On behalf of the Government and people of Trinidad and Tobago, I sincerely express deep condolences to all his loved ones."
