Police destroy marijuana field worth $4.95m

Marijuana trees and cured marijuana worth an estimated TT$4.95 million, were found and destroyed by officers of the Eastern Division Task Force. According to police reports, officers proceeded to a forested area in Biche where they came across five fields on 10 lots of land.

The lots contained 4,700 fully grown marijuana trees, 1,000 seedlings, 25 kilogrammes of dried marijuana and 25 kilogrammes of seeds.

The trees, seeds, seedlings and dried marijuana were all subsequently destroyed.
