
The Special Operation Response Team (SORT) raided a farm in Wallerfield around 1:30 pm today and seized a number of guns, ammunition and bulletproof vests.
According to police reports, SORT officers executed a search warrant for firearm and ammunition at a house and chicken farm.
Following an extensive search of the premises, SORT officers discovered four bulletproof vests, one Glock pistol with a magazine and 15 rounds of 9mm ammunition, one Mac 11 fitted with a silencer and a bag of assorted ammunition.
One man was arrested for the find and taken to the Arima Police Station.
Investigations are continuing.
