Police have seized a quantity of compressed marijuana during an exercise in Belmont.
The marijuana was discovered by officers during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Port of Spain Division on Sunday.
Officers of the Port-of-Spain Division Task Force conducted searches of several areas in the Belmont and St. Ann’s districts during the exercise.
One search resulted in officers discovering 300 grammes of marijuana at an abandoned house along Belle Eau Road, Belmont.
In a separate incident, one suspect was held on enquiries into gang-related activities.
