While teachers appear to be having a challenge hearing from the Chief Personnel Officer over negotiations for 2014 to 2017…
The police may be having better luck with their negotiations.
President of the Police Social & Welfare Association, Inspector Gideon Dickson, reports that they are at a fairly advanced stage with regard to negotiations for the period 2013 to 2016
He says currently, they are awaiting a counter-offer from the CPO’s Office, to the offer which the union has submitted on behalf of police officers.
Inspector Dickson says the CPO recently communicated to them that she was awaiting final instructions from the Finance Ministry, and he believes that may come by the end of this week.
He says he expects negotiations to resume by the third week of October.
