A post-mortem is to be done on Thursday to determine how 16-year-old schoolboy Jesse Beephan died.
His body was discovered in a drain in a bushy area behind the Waterloo Secondary School Wednesday morning.
He was a student of the school.
A statement by the police said the body bore marks of violence.
It was viewed by the District Medical Officer, before being taken to the Forensic Sciences Centre where a post-mortem is expected to be performed tomorrow.
The boy’s father, along with a group of concerned citizens, found the body around 11:00 am.
Beephan was clad in the school’s uniform.
