The relocation of the High Court from the Hall of Justice to the International Waterfront will cost the state over 56 million dollars.
This was confirmed by Attorney General Faris Al Rawi in response to a question in the Senate this afternoon.
He says tenders were issued since January and UDECOTT is expected to select a contractor in the next two weeks and works are expected to begin immediately.
The AG says the relocation will result in savings of over six million dollars per annum.
He expects that completion of works will take place 16 weeks after commencement.
