A Republic Bank employee attached to the Valsayn Branch, identified as Seon Solomon, has died from injuries he sustained weeks ago.

Earlier this month, Seon Solomon got into an altercation with someone in the St Joseph area while liming.

Reports are the individual threw a flammable substance on Solomon, and then set him on fire.

Mr Solomon, who is originally from Tobago, was burnt badly in the incident. The bank manager was in serious pain from his injuries and passed out while trying to drive himself to the hospital. The vehicle crashed near Massy Stores in Trincity.

Video footage and photos of the incident began making the rounds on social media on November 02, 2019.

Seon Solomon was taken to the hospital by emergency officials and was listed in a critical condition.

However, Mr Solomon died at the hospital yesterday—Sunday November 17, 2019.

On Thursday November 7, 27-year-old Austin Jeffers of Acono Road in Maracas, St Joseph, appeared in court after being accused of dousing bank manager Seon Solomon with a liquid and setting him on fire recently. At that time, he was charged with attempted murder.
