Samsung booth opens in Gulf

Customers flocked to Gulf City shopping complex in La Romaine on today as Samsung Electronics Co Limited opened two signature kiosks  (booths) featuring the latest Samsung products. 

The booths offered Samsung phones including the Note9 at discounted prices. Jarod Best-Mitchell, sales manager and manager of R&J's Celltech, Rabindranath Maharaj officially opened the store before customers took advantage of the cheaper prices. 

Maharaj said all of the problems were being sold at discounted prices.

"Everything here is genuine Samsung. We are the lone repair store for Samsung products and all products and accessories are original," he said.

 Ottis Christopher who purchased a Note8 said, "I am elated. I got this headset for free as well as a Samsung bag filled with Samsung products," Christopher said. 

Best-Mitchell said Samsung is continuing to invest in the Trinidad market to ensure that customers have direct access to the best of Samsung products, including the flagship device Galaxy Note9 which was launched in the last quarter of 2018.

In a statement, Jennifer Ledesma, marketing manager of Samsung Electronics in Latin America said: "The new signature kiosks demonstrates that Samsung is dedicated to continued investment in this key market."

She added, "We are committed to delivering the best quality products to our consumers. We want to ensure that the Trinidad market enjoys the consumer experience that Samsung has to offer."

Some of the flagship products which were on sale were the Galaxy s9 and Note 9 as well as the traditional A series.

"The kiosks will also offer other Samsung products and accessories.

Staff from the Samsung team was on hand to answer questions and offer personalized assistance on Samsung brand devices.

Ledesma said the opening of the kiosks marks continued expansion on the local market.

"Cost-effective yet efficient, the kiosks will provide valuable and necessary service.

With these kiosks we intend to bring the latest products to consumers, raise our standards in customer service and strengthen our position in the market," Ledesma said.
