Police are searching for the driver of a red car that is used to conduct PH taxi services in Chaguanas in connection with the abduction of a female UWI student.
The student, who remains unidentified, reported to police that she was on her way home when she boarded the red car to head to Chaguanas from Curepe last night.
The driver abducted the girl but eventually set her free after she started crying.
An off-duty police officer noticed the crying girl around 11 o’clock last night at the side of the road and took her to the Chaguanas Police Station where she recounted the ordeal.
Few details have been given about the car in question as well as the driver.
