Search on for prisoner who escaped from Couva Police Station

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating, Ishmeed Mohammed aka ‘Randy Geshmeed’, who escaped from the Couva Police Station custody, earlier today.

Mohammed, 32, of Teelucksingh Street, California, escaped custody during transition from the station to the Couva Magistrates’ Court, around 9:15am, today.

He has several convictions and matters pending before the courts, arising out of drug related and robbery offences.

The escapee is of East Indian descent, 5 feet 5 inches tall, slim built, with a light brown complexion and unkempt hair.

Mohammed was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, a pair of blue ¾ jeans and a green Nike sneakers.

The police have mounted a manhunt for the recapture of Ishmeed Mohammed, aka ‘Randy Geshmeed’ and is asking members of the public to contact 999 or the nearest police station, should the escapee be sighted.
