Secret Sunday pool party busted

A Secret Sunday pool party in Port of Sain was busted by officers of the Special Operations Response Team (SORT) after midnight on Sunday where 22 women were detained.
A 37-year-old woman from Westmoorings, who is believed to be the main suspect, has been arrested and is currently assisting police in their investigations.
Police said most of them are non-nationals, with no Identification in their possession and were engaged in lewd dancing, possible prostitution and child endangerment, as several of them are believed to be minors.
They were found in a house at Lady Chancellor Heights in Port of Spain.
Just after midnight on Sunday, acting on intelligence, SORT officers conducted a sting operation at the house where the women, along with 20 men, were also arrested. They have all been moved to the St James Barracks where they are currently being interviewed by investigators.
Police also found and seized a firearm and ammunition, narcotics and a large amount of cash.
Guardian Media understands that an advertisement was issued titled "Can you keep a secret?" It went to state "Secret Sundays Latin EDM Private Pool Party."
It also advertised secret location, rum cocktails and a place where "Secret Pleasures Await." It also gave a What's App number for interested persons to message for further information and location.
It ended by stating: "Make Sundays your Secret."
Commissioner of Police, Gary Griffith led the operations with officers of SORT, Port of Spain Task Force, Canine and Municipal Police.
Up until the time of a release issued by the TTPS, Griffith was still on the scene alongside the Counter-Trafficking, Child Protection and Victim and Witness Support Units of the TTPS, conducting enquiries to verify the ages of the young women found.
