Durrel Raymond, also known as 'Shorto', appeared at the Port-of-Spain Magistrate's Court this afternoon charged with the murder of Vaughan 'Sandman' Mieres and three others on July 25th.
Raymond who was shot in the left leg during the incident came into the court on crutches and was accompanied by several heavily armed police officers.
The accused appeared before Magistrate Sarah De Silva in the 11th court.
He was also charged with the of Alita Dehere, Nigel Octim and Kadir Joseph.
Raymond was additionally charged with the possession of ammunition and possession of a firearm.
All charges were lad indictably.
Defence lawyer Ian Brooks who represented Raymond along with Sheldon Guerra made a request to the court that he be placed in the infirmary.
Raymond briefly told the court, "I have to go to the doctor next Wednesday for an X-ray."
The matter was adjourned to August 25th.
