Sisters in court on drugs and ammunition charges

Two sisters and one man, all of La Romaine, have appeared before a San Fernando Magistrate, charged with possession of ammunition and possession of marijuana.

Aaliya Ali, 18, and Stephanie Ali, 23, sisters of Peter Trace, La Romaine, and Deshawn Ross, 23, of Grace Lane, La Romaine, appeared before Senior Magistrate Cherril-Ann Antoine on Thursday.

The matter was adjourned to Thursday 10th May, 2018.

Officers attached to the San Fernando Police Station, supervised by Insp. (Ag.) Don Gajadhar and ASP (Ag.) Peter Ramdeen, conducted anti-crime exercises in the San Fernando and Mon Repos districts, between 4 am and 9 am on Wednesday 11th April, 2018.

During the exercise, officers executed a search warrant at a house on Peter Trace, La Romaine, where they discovered five rounds of .38 ammunition and 19.8 grammes of marijuana on a TV stand inside the house.

All three were subsequently arrested and charged by PC Roger Moses, of the San Fernando Criminal Investigations Department.
