Real Madrid will face Juventus in the final of the Champions League on June 3rd in Cardiff, Wales.

Real lost 2-1 to rivals Atletico Madrid in the second leg of their semi-final but qualified on a 4-2 aggregate having won the first leg 3-0.

It will be a repeat of the 1998 final when Madrid defeated the Italians 1-0 in Amsterdam.

Two early goals by Saul Niguez in the 12th minute and Antoine Griezmann from the penalty spot four minutes later, put Atletico on course in a bid to erase the 3-0 first-leg deficit.

However, Isco's 42nd-minute strike took the wind out of Atletico who then needed to score three unanswered goals to progress.

Neither team was able to score in the second half as Real progressed to the consecutive finals, having won the title last year.
