Supermarket Association, Commissioner discuss security strategies

The Executive of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), led by Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith, have met with the board of the Supermarket Association of Trinidad and Tobago (SATT), a statement by the Police Service said.

The meeting took place at the WITCO Boardroom today.

Commissioner Griffith, DCP ‘Operations’ Deodath Dulalchan, Snr. Supt. (Ag.) Lindon Greenidge of Fraud Squad, and Supt. Erica Prieto of the Municipal Police, held discussions with the board of SATT, regarding several matters of mutual interest.

The statement says the TTPS executives discussed the availability of officers for extra-duty; as well as the implementation of strategic security measures for the upcoming Christmas season.

Commissioner Griffith and his team also discussed issues of white-collar crime, illegal vending and the firearm user’s license.

The Supermarket Association expressed a desire to work with the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service and the Commissioner; to promote safer spaces toward encouraging greater social and economic stability within Trinidad and Tobago.
