Technology: Twitter wins legal battle with US Government

Twitter withdrew its lawsuit against the U.S. government today, as the government backed down from its request for information regarding an immigration-focused, anti-Trump account.

The U.S. government—and specifically, U.S. Customs and Border Protection—wanted information on the anonymous Twitter account @ALT_uscis, which has been tweeting about immigration issues, and taking a particularly anti-Trump stance.

Twitter as they've done repeatedly in the past, stood by its mission for user privacy as well as transparency.
