Three persons—two men and a woman—escaped death when the vehicles they were driving plunged over precipices in two separate incidents over the jazz weekend.

According to Divisional Fire Officer David Joseph- Thomas, on Saturday morning in Belle Garden, Kimberly Lord of Belle Garden was transported to the hospital in an unconscious state after the vehicle in which she was driving went over a precipice.

And on Sunday around 1.30 am one man was transported to the Scarborough General Hospital when the vehicle in which he was travelling plunged into the Castara river.

The senior fire officer said two men, both from Castara, were driving through Charlotteville on the North Coast Road back to Castara when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle.
