Over 90 rounds of 9mm ammunition were found and seized by Tobago police on Monday night.

According to police reports, the illegal ammunition was discovered at Mt. Pleasant around 10 pm following a tip-off.

Guardian Media understands that the Tobago Divisional Task Force led by PC Moses was on patrol when officers received intelligence informing them of where the ammunition was being hidden.

They went to an abandoned lot at Robert Trace Extension and searched the area.

They subsequently found 99 rounds of 9mm ammunition but no one was held in connection with the find.

Investigations are continuing.
