The Government of Trinidad and Tobago has lifted the Tropical Storm Warning for Trinidad and Tobago as of 5 a.m. today, the Met Office said in a media statement.
The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service has also lifted the Tropical Storm Warning for Grenada and its Dependencies as of 5 am today.
At 5:00 am, Tuesday June 20, 2017, the centre of Tropical Storm Bret was located near 10.6ºN latitude 62.91ºW longitude or approximately 160 km to the west of Trinidad and no longer poses a threat to the islands of interest. However, localized rainfall can still be expected today with rain and/ or showers and possible thundershowers.
This is the final advisory that the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service will issue on Tropical Storm Bret but the Met Office says it will continue to monitor this system as it moves further west away
from the Southern Windward Islands.
