Two to appear in court for 2014 murder

Bevon Wiliams 37, and Densil Richards 45, will appear in court today charged with the 2014 murder of Daud Abdullah.

Daud Abdullah was at the home of a female companion when gunmen entered the house and opened fire on them.

Abdullah died at the scene and his companion was taken to hospital where she was treated for gunshot wounds.

Homicide Bureau of Investigation, has solved another cold case, this time involving the murder of Daud Abdullah and shooting with intent against his girlfriend, which occurred on Thursday 6th February, 2014.

Two men are expected to appear before a Mayaro Magistrate today, to answer to the charges. BEVON WILLIAMS, aka “Bingi”, 37, a welder, of Manzanilla Road, Mayaro, and DENSIL FRANCIS, aka “Blow”, 45, of corner of Ferriera Lane and Guayaguayare Road, Mayaro, were also charged with possession of firearm and ammunition, following advice from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard, SC, on Saturday 4th November, 2017.

 Mr. Abdullah, 33, of New Lands Village, Guayaguayare, was at the La Savanne Circular home of a female companion, on Thursday 6th February, 2014, when armed assailants entered the house and shot at them.

The victim was hit about the body and died at the scene, while his female companion was rushed to hospital nursing gunshot wounds. WILLIAMS and FRANCIS, were charged by PC Adrian Hercules, of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations, Region 2, on Sunday 5th November, 2017.
