Two men have been arrested for rigging ATMs.
The arrest occurred at about 4:30 pm on Sunday, at the Trincity Mall.
According to official police reports, officers of the Fraud Squad Task Force, acting on intelligence, went to Trincity Mall’s Scotiabank Automated Transfer Machine (ATM), where they observed that the machine was rigged with a foreign device.
The officers surveyed the area and witnessed two men approach the machine and remove the device.
The men were arrested and found to be in possession of over 21 counterfeit cards.
Investigations are ongoing.
