Two Maloney men arrested in police exercise

Two  men  were  arrested by officers of the TTPS’ Northern  Division during an anti-crime exercise conducted  in  the Maloney Policing District on Tuesday 21 January, 2020.

According to official police reports, while officers were conducting a search warrant  at Maloney Gardens, they seized one  Glock  17 pistol,  fitted  with  a  magazine  and  13  rounds  of nine-millimetre ammunition. Police also seized  one  kilogram of marijuana found at the premises.

A  male  occupant  was arrested for the find.

Following that arrest, officers proceeded to another building at Maloney Gardens where they executed another warrant. A  male suspect  also  was  arrested  on  an  outstanding  TAC  Warrant (a warrant for him to appear in court).

Investigations are ongoing.

The exercise was supervised by Inspector Joseph, Sgt Guelmo, Cpl  Ali  and  included  officers  of  the  Maloney  Criminal Investigations  Department (CID)  and  officers  of  the  Maloney  Charge Room.
