Two vehicles, stolen in separate incidents over the weekend, have been recovered by officers of the Port of Spain Division during mobile patrols.
In the first incident, a black Mitsubishi L200 Sportero motor vehicle belonging to a D’Abadie man, was stolen while parked along St John’s Road, St. Augustine, around 11:30 pm on Friday 13th July, 2018.
The owner made a report to the St. Joseph Police Station.
The vehicle was later found abandoned in Phase 5, Beetham Gardens, on Sunday 15th July, 2018, by officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force.
The other vehicle, a white Mitsubishi L200 panel van belonging to a security company, was reported as stolen by its driver around 4:45 pm on Sunday 15th July, 2018.
The driver parked the vehicle on the company’s Barataria compound and left. When he returned he discovered it missing and made a report to the Morvant Police Station.
The vehicle, which was also abandoned, was recovered on the same date at Garden Road, Aranguez by members of the Morvant Criminal Investigations Department.
The recovered vehicles were conveyed to the Besson Street and Morvant Police Stations for processing.
Inquiries are continuing.
