A special caucus meeting of the United National Congress which will take place on Monday, is being described as a first in a series of strategic meetings as the party sets its sight on claiming victory in two major elections slated for this year and 2020.
In a statement, the UNC says political leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar will be meeting with all members of the parliamentary caucus as well as the national executive of the party.
The party is said to be employing an all hands on deck approach as it prepares for local government and general elections.
Persad-Bissessar will first meet with each MP and senator in a one on one meeting followed by the parliamentary caucus.
The UNC leader says it is her intention for the UNC to form the next government and get rid of the Dr Keith Rowley-led PNM administration and correct what she says is the damage done by the PNM.
The UNC political leader is calling on all those interested in national development to come forward and be part of the change.
