A second Valencia man is scheduled to appear before a Sangre Grande Magistrate, charged with the murder of Kelvin Lake, which occurred on Sunday 2nd July, 2017.
Nicholas Edwards aka ‘Pancho’, 33, of Pine Apple Drive, New City, Valencia, was charged on Monday 21st May, 2018, following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard, SC.
Lake, 26, of Bertram Street, Valencia, was found dead along the roadway, at KP Lands, Valencia, with a gunshot wound to the head, on Sunday 2nd July, 2017.
Edwards, was arrested along Teak Lane, Valencia, by officers of the Valencia Police Post, on Monday 14th May, 2018, after trying to evade detection by the police officers.
Shondell Jack, 24, of Gill Street, Valencia, was previously charged with the murder of Mr. Lake, on Friday 28th July, 2017.
Investigations were supervised by Inspectors Shaun Craig, Anil Maharaj and Andrew Stanislaus, of Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region 2, while PC Andre Lewis, also of HBI Region 2, laid the charges against Edwards and Jack.
