The Trinidad and Tobago Soca Warriors have been eliminated from the 2017 Caribbean Cup after losing to Martinique.

Two late goals in extra time sunk the team's hopes for lifting the trophy. However, the team can still qualify for the 2017 Concacaf Gold Cup by virtue fo three play-off matches.

Despite an encouraging performance, the late goals exposed the team's weakness in defense.

The squad also lacked striker Kevin Molino after he was dropped by coach Stephen Hart for breaking team rules to party at a night club three days before the match.

The headache worsened for Hart after team captain Kenwyne Jones had to be substituted in the first half of the game after picking up an injury.
