The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of North-East Trinidad served by the Hollis Water Treatment Plant, who are experiencing a disruption in their scheduled pipe borne water supply at present, that this is due to a ruptured 24-inch diameter transmission pipeline at LP 73 Eastern Main Road, Wallerfield, in the area of the “Double Bridge”.

The ruptured main is located along a river bed and initial assessment indicates that repair is expected to take approximately 48 hours, given the nature of the job.

The areas affected include Parts of Arima, D’Abadie and Arouca inclusive Cocorite Road, O'Meara Road, Cleaver Road, Lynton Gardens, Darwill Gardens, La Resource, La Florisante, Lilian Heights, Ridgeview Heights, Riverwood Development, Bon Air North, Bon Air West, Bon Air Gardens, areas along the Eastern Main Road from Arima to Arouca.

A limited water trucking service is available to customers impacted by this disruption with priority being given to medical institutions and homes for the aged.
