Operations at WASA's Head Office in St Joseph have returned to a state of normalcy, according to a statement by the authority this morning.
WASA's main office was damaged by a fire on January 5th. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The Authority released the following statement this morning:
"Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) advises the public that services and operations impacted by the fire at Head Office Administrative Building Block B, on the 5th January, 2016 are returning to normalcy.
The Authority's Customer Call Centre, is now fully restored and accessible via toll-free numbers 800-4420/4426.
Although the temporary numbers previously advertised remain active, customers are asked to access services through the above toll-free numbers.
The Authority has also re-established a Rate Payment Centre in the main lobby at the Head Office Administrative Building, with effect from Tuesday January 19, 2016.
Other areas such as Finance, Human Resources, Operations, Legal, Internal Audit, Corporate Services, Customer Business Services, New Services have been relocated and are functional; water and wastewater services continue to be delivered unhindered.
WASA wishes to commend Fire Services and Police Service personnel, for the diligence, commitment and professionalism displayed. The
Authority also expresses its appreciation to its employees and valued customers for their understanding, co-operation and patience in the aftermath of the fire."
