Some 364 vehicles have been stolen for the year and of that figure, the Tiida motor vehicle continues to be the number one choice of car thieves.

This is according to a statement issued by the Police Service today.

Police say statistics show that the prevalence of Tiidas, commonly called the 'Wet Man' locally, being stolen is still high.

Police also say that Nissan-made vehicles make up 50% of the total number of vehicles stolen for the year.

No statistics were provided regarding how many vehicles, if any, were recovered.
