John set to work with former teammates as Central unveils 2018 team

Central FC Head Coach Stern John has lamented the "professionalism" and "mutual respect" of his former teammates that will now be under his management as the club unveiled its 2018 squad.

The likes of Cornell Glen, Carlyle Mitchell and Densill Theobald are all in the squad as John mixed experience with youth at the Couva Sharks.

Speaking to the media after the team's unveiling, John said, "We had to build a new team to go into the club championship. We have a lot of experienced players. We have Cornell Glen, we have Mitchell... We have a lot of youngsters as well too, but what we're trying to do, we're trying to breed the youngsters with the senior players."

"Like I said before, especially in Trinidad, we don't have the luxary to get rid of our senior players and just have them there, not doing anything. I think we need to get them involved in the football still so we can bring the youngsters through with the senior players as well..." John stated.
