T&T bodybuilder Dexter Simon had an impressive start to his pro career, narrowly missing out on a top five finish at the La Hispaniola Elite Pro Night show in the Dominican Republic on Saturday evening.
Speaking to Guardian Media Sports after the show, Simon said, "My debut pro show was the perfect start to my pro career. A tough class of pros who were applauded by all and billed as the toughest pro class of the night by the judges. A close call it was just missing out on the top 5 ... I felt extremely proud representing Trinidad and Tobago amongst a top class line up with a great respect amongst all and wonderful comradery back stage. It’s a different life being a pro. Everyone helps everyone and the main objective is to put on a great show firstly."
Simon has now gotten invitations to pro shows in Madrid in May and Aruba in August. He also has a CAC pro event in July and a Mexico pro on the list of upcoming shows.
