West Indies loses to Afghanistan in CWC qualifiers

Afghanistan stunned the West Indies this morning in the Cricket World Cup Qualifiers to hand the regional side its first defeat.

Having opted to bat first, the Windies struggled to get to 197 for eight from its 50 overs. Shai Hope top scored with 43 while Marlon Samuels made 36.

In response, the Afghans got to 198 for seven in just under 50 overs, winning the match by three wickets... Top order batsman Rahmat Shah led from the front with 68.

It's a terrible start to the super sixes for the Windies, who next play Zimbabwe on Monday.
