National Security insists Venezuelans wanted to go home, signed documents before departure

The Ministry of National Security is seeking to make it clear that the 82 nationals of Venezuela who were repatriated on the weekend, all said they were willing to go home and had signed documents to this effect.

The Ministry's statement comes after a backlash over the decision to send the Venezuelans home, given the social, political and economic climate in Venezuela at this time.

Central car dealer thanks "the father" after posting photo on a light aircraft

A photo appearing on the Instagram page of Central businessman Sheron Sukhdeo seems to suggest that he has purchased a light aircraft.

Sukhdeo is popular for a car business he runs in Chaguanas.

The post on his Instagram page - sherons_auto - shows a picture of a fixed-wing, multi-engine propeller aircraft with Sukhdeo on the wing.

It is captioned, "Fed up buy cars" and is followed by another comment "All thanks to the father for all his blessings".

The aircraft is registered as N6739Y.

Aircraft parts wash ashore in Mayaro

What appears to be parts of an aircraft have washed ashore on a beach in Mayaro Tuesday morning.

A family, which contacted CNC3 today, said the discovery was made while they stayed on a private beachfront property over the long weekend.

Family members told us that a small group among them noticed the pieces floating towards the shore around 6 am Tuesday.

An employee of the family, Davidson Stafford and his son later found the pieces along the shoreline.

One of the pieces had written on it, "CR 204 525 B".
