Quantities of cocaine, marijuana and ammunition have been found by officers of the Southern Division Task Force, during an anti-crime exercise in the Ste. Madeleine district.
The exercise, supervised by Sgt. Vishal Parasram, took place between 10:00pm on Monday 16th July, 2018, and 3:00am on Tuesday 17th July, 2018.
Around 12:30am, officers proceeded to an abandoned apartment in an apartment building along Cipero Road, St. John, where a search was conducted.
One man has been arrested; and two pistols and quantities of ammunition and marijuana seized, by officers of the Tobago Division, following a high-speed chase in the Old Grange district.
Officers of the Tobago Divisional Task Force, were conducting an anti-crime exercise in the Mt. Pleasant area, around 2:40 pm on Sunday 15th July, 2018, when they attempted to stop and search a white Nissan Tiida motor vehicle with two male occupants.
The vehicle sped off and a chase ensued, resulting in the Tiida colliding into the rear of a truck.
A Maraval man, charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition, is scheduled to appear before the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 11th July, 2018, to answer the charges.
Cleon Ronain, 33, of Beau Près Road, Maraval, was arrested by officers of the Maracas Bay Police Station, during a stop and search exercise in the Maracas Bay district on Monday 9th July, 2018.
The exercise, which was led by Sgt. Stephen Dowridge, of the Maracas Bay Police Station, took place between 3:15pm and 5:00pm and also included officers of the Coastal Patrol Unit.
An El Socorro man, is denied bail and remanded into custody after appearing before a Siparia Magistrate, charged with possession of three firearms and a quantity of ammunition as well as marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
Shane AliI, a 22-year-old vendor, of Todd Street, El Socorro, appeared before Magistrate Margaret Alert in the Siparia 1st Magistrates’ Court, on Tuesday 10th July, 2018, to answer to the charges.
Close to three hundred rounds of ammunition were discovered by officers of the Organised Crime and Intelligence Unit, during an anticrime exercise, conducted in the Marabella district, yesterday.
Officers conducted the exercise between 9:45 pm and 11:50 pm, on Tuesday 3rd July, 2018, during which they proceeded to 2nd Street, Marabella, in the vicinity of the Marabella Recreation Ground, where
they conducted a search of a bushy area.
A Piarco couple has pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of firearm and ammunition, after appearing before an Arima Magistrate today.
Daniel Jobe, 23, and Samantha Ramesar, 19, both of North Bank Road, Piarco, appeared before Senior Magistrate Gillian Scotland, in the Arima Magistrate’s 1st Court, on Monday 25th June, 2018, to answer to the charge.
The matter was adjourned to Monday 2nd July, 2018.
Kareem Thomas, 24, of Sangre Grande is expected to appear before a Sangre Grande Magistrate today charged with the possession of a firearm and ammunition.
According to police reports Thomas was arrested by officers who were on mobile patrol along Walke Street, Sangre Grande, around 11:35 am, on Monday 18th June 2018.
Officers had cause to stop and search Thomas after they observed him acting suspiciously.
The search resulted in one Ruger 357 Magnum revolver, loaded with six rounds of .38mm ammunition being discovered in his possession.
Three Morvant men have been detained by police for possession of a pistol and a quantity of ammunition.
According to police reports during an anti-crime exercise in the Caura district, police stopped an searched a vehicle where they found one silver and black Tangfolio pistol loaded with a magazine containing three rounds of 9mm ammunition.
Three male suspects; a 26-year-old, a 24-year-old and a 29-year old, were arrested in connection with the find.

The exercise took place between 12:00pm and 6:00pm, and was supervised by ASP (Ag.) Mervin Edwards and Sgt. Ishmael Pitt.
A South Oropouche man is fined $18,000 after pleading guilty on a charge of possession of a firearm and ammunition.
David Ramsey, 24, a Health and Safety Officer, of Warden Road, South Oropouche, appeared before Magistrate Margaret Alert in the Siparia 1st Magistrates’ Court, on Monday 11th June, 2018.
Ramsey was fined $12,000 for the possession of a firearm and $6,000 for possession of ammunition.
