Two pistols and quantities of ammunition and marijuana, were discovered by officers of the Western Division Task Force, during an anti-crime exercise in the Western Division.
The exercise was conducted between 11 am on Thursday 8th June, 2017 and 3 am on Friday 9th June, 2017.
Officers, based on information, first went to La Horquette Valley Road, Carenage, around 8 pm on Thursday, where they found one Glock pistol, along with two rounds of 9mm ammunition.
Two guns and quantities of ammunition and narcotics were found in the Blanchisseuse and Morvant districts, during an anti-crime exercise, conducted by officers of the North Eastern Division Task Force, yesterday.
The exercise, which commenced at 1pm on Tuesday 6th June, 2017 and ended at 10:30am on Wednesday 7th June, 2017, was coordinated by ACP Surajdeen Persad, supervised by Snr. Supt. Surrendra Sagramsingh and involved officers of the Morvant Police Station, CID, Maracas Bay and Blanchisseuse Coastal Patrol and Canine Branch.
A Maloney man will appear before an Arima Magistrate on Tuesday 6th June, 2017, for possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Shaquille Charles, 21, was held during an anti-crime exercise, which took place in the Maloney District from of 12 pm on Saturday 3rd June, 2017 to 12 am on Sunday 4th June, 2017, a police statement said.

Around 11:30 am on Sunday 9th April, 2017, officers on mobile patrol along Chin Chin Road, Cunupia, observed two boys, ages 17 and 13, acting suspiciously.
Upon searching them, the officers found a Taurus revolver and five rounds of .38mm ammunition in the possession of the 17-year-old, while nothing illegal was found on the younger boy.
