Over 650 rounds of ammunition and a quantity of marijuana were discovered by officers of the Couva Police Station, during an anticrime exercise in the Couva district yesterday.
Officers conducted the exercise, which was coordinated by Supt (Ag.) Andy Belfon, ASP (Ag.) Michael Pierre, supervised by Sgt. Ken Ali, and included officers of the Couva CID, between 2:00pm and 9:30pm, on Thursday 5th October, 2017.
A pistol and a quantity of ammunition were seized by officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force, during an anti-crime exercise in Laventille, on Monday morning.
Officers were on mobile patrol around 11:30 am on Monday 18th September, 2017, in Block 8, Laventille, when they observed a man acting suspiciously.
Upon seeing the officers, the man ran off.
Officers gave chase, but the man managed to elude capture. A search of the area, resulted in the discovery of a black plastic bag, containing one Glock pistol and a magazine with 17 rounds of 9mm ammunition.

A Beretta pistol and a quantity of ammunition were seized by officers of the Central Division Operation Unit, during an anti-crime exercise, in the Enterprise, Chaguanas yesterday.
A police statement said that officers conducted the exercise between 2 pm and 8 pm on Sunday 10th September, 2017, during which they observed a man standing in a basketball court, along Postman Drive, Enterprise, with an object resembling a firearm in his possession.
Upon seeing the officers, the man dropped the object and ran off.

Police say officers conducted the exercise between 4 pm and 6 pm on Tuesday 29th August, 2017, in the Carenage District.
Acting on information received, the officers proceeded to Upper Haig Street, Carenage, where they conducted a search of an abandoned house.
The search resulted in a pistol and magazine with nine rounds of 9mm ammunition being found.
No arrests were made in connection with the find.

Officers, acting on information received, first proceeded to Chinapoo, Morvant, where they conducted a search of an abandoned lot of land.
At that location, they found one tanfoglio pistol and a revolver, along with two magazines, containing three rounds of 9mm ammunition.
A 25-year-old man of Morne Coco road, Maraval, was arrested in connection with the find.
