Seven months after he was injured when his parents’ home collapsed during heavy rainfall, baby Christopher Sahadeo Poonilal has suffered a seizure at home.
His parents Curtis Poonilal and Christine Sahadeo are now frantically trying to raise $5,000 to do an electroencephalography scan on his brain at a private medical hospital.
Electroencephalography is an electro-physiological monitoring method used to record the electrical activity of the brain.
Police, fire officers and members of the Coast Guard have resumed their search at the pond in Usine Ste Madeleine, following a report that a woman threw a baby into the water.
Around 8 last evening, police received a report that a woman was seen walking towards to the pond with a baby in her hand.
Minutes later, it's said she walked back to the Manahambre Road without the baby, entered a vehicle and left.
Ste Madeleine police responded and divers attached to the Fire Service began combing the bank of the pond.
Police will be eagerly awaiting the result from the autopsy on 44-day-old Javon Mahabir at the Forensic Science Centre, St James, today.
Mahabir was found unresponsive by his parents on Saturday.
Police reported that his mother Wendy Mahabir, 35, of Nurse Street, Newlands, Guayaguayare, reportedly put him to bed on Friday night and reported nothing untoward during the course of the day.
However, around 4 am on Saturday, Mahabir found him unresponsive in his crib, with fluid coming from his nose and mouth.
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, gave birth to a baby boy on Monday morning, according to Kensington Palace, touching off widespread jubilation across Britain. Her husband, Prince William, 35, was by her side for the birth of their third child.
“The baby weighed 8lbs 7oz,” Kensington Palace said in a tweet.

A Valencia family was last night mourning the tragic death of 18-month-old toddler Ilena Mansoor, after she was accidentally run over by a pick-up driven by a relative at the family’s home yesterday.
