A body burnt beyond recognition has been found in a car in Tobago.
It is being classed as a suspected homicide.
According to reports about 2 am this morning, fire officers responded to a call about a burning car on Belmont Link Road Mason Hall Tobago.
When investigators arrived at the site they noticed a lone body in the vehicle.
Investigations are continuing. Tobago recorded 9 murders last year.
Burnt human remains have been discovered in Aripo.
Information reaching CNC3 is that officers of the northern division received a tip-off that a body was spotted down a precipice.
At Aripo road. Officers combed the area and eventually located the body later that afternoon and retrieved it around 5 pm.
While the corpse remains unidentified, preliminary investigations suggest it is the body of a man.
It is the second such discovery this Easter weekend as another burnt body was discovered by police in Orange Grove on good Friday.
The charred remains of a 52-year-old gardener Bhim Bipram, were discovered at Guayaguayare Road, Rio Claro on Monday.
Bipram, originally of Navet Village, Rio Claro, was discovered by a neighbour around 8.30 am on Monday morning, who contacted the Rio Claro Police Station.
Bipram had been residing at Guayaguayare Road, Rio Claro for the last three years, where he was a gardener and a well-known handyman.
Police have started a murder investigation into the death of a man whose body was burnt in a house fire in La Brea village Guyaguayare.
The incident took place last Friday, but an autopsy shows that the man, 39-year-old Rajesh Rudolpho, was beaten to the head and was deliberately trapped in the burning building.
Investigators say the doors to the house were blocked from the outside which supports the theory that this was a murder.
