Machel Montano and Austin "Superblue" Lyons have won this year's Road March with "Soca Kingdom'.
The song was played 336 times at judging points.
Iwer George's "Savannah" came in second with 140 plays while Patrice Roberts was third with "Sweet Fuh Days", played 112 times.
The result was announced by the Trinbago Unified Calypso Organisation (TUCO).
This is Montano's 9th Road March title and Superblue's 10th.
Only late calypsonian, Kitchener, has more Road March titles, with 11.
A 77-year-old Florida man is dead after being crushed by a music truck in Port-of-Spain.
According to police reports, around 1 pm today, Kingsley Rhodareya was behind a music truck on Duke Street near Victoria Square.
Police believe the music truck reversed to negotiate a bend and hit him.
Officers say he was knocked to the ground and one of the wheels rolled over him.
He died at hospital from severe chest injuries.
A 17-year-old boy has been stabbed to death, bringing to two the number of murders on Carnival Monday by mid-afternoon.
The victim has been identified as Reshan Singh of Freeport.
Police say the boy was stabbed as he attended J'ouvert celebrations.
Singh was rushed to the Chaguanas Health Facility where he died.
Police now have several people in custody in connection with the incident.
American rapper and Grammy nominee Carbi B, has been given a Carnival costume by the mas band Tribe.
However, despite many thinking that she was playing with the band, the rapper has been posting photos on her Instagram page, showing her at events at New York's Fashion Week.
Tribe posted a photo of the singer on it's Instagram page with the caption, "Guess what? It’s Carnival Monday!!!Masqueraders, get in ya section."
