Choo Kong

Investigations point to crime of passion

The homicide investigations into the brutal murder of local playwright and award-winning producer, director and actor Raymond Choo Kong took a twist Tuesday afternoon following new information reaching police.

Police say that instead of a robbery, they now believe that it may be a crime of passion.

Upon sensitive information reaching officers, police strongly believe that Choo Kong, 69, who was stabbed eight times could have known his attacker on a personal/intimate basis.

"We are looking at it as a jilted lover-type thing, " a police source said.
