Trade mission seeks to strengthen ties with Colombia

Minister of Trade and Industry, Paula Gopee-Scoon will lead a delegation of 10 private sector companies along with senior executives of the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association (TTMA) and state enterprise exporTT Limited on a Trade Mission to Colombia from September 2-6, 2018. 

The ministry says the thrust of the mission is in alignment with specific initiatives outlined in the Government Policy Framework to rebuild growth and sustain the manufacturing sector.

Diego Martin Central students go to Colombia

Students of Diego Martin Central Government Secondary school will embark on a journey of a lifetime, this, as eight students have been selected to attend a trip to Colombia in the latter half of March 2018.  

Pilot reported lack of fuel before Colombian flight went down

The pilot of LAMIA Flight 2933, which crashed near Medellin, Colombia, said, "The plane is in total electric failure and without fuel," according to two sources familiar with the investigation who heard audio recordings of conversations between the flight crew and air traffic control.

The audio was published in Colombian media. Seventy-one people were killed in the crash, including members of a Brazilian soccer team.
