A Diego Martin man is now dead after shooting himself in his head, in what appeared to be a bad game gone wrong.
Ben Ambrose was at Union Road in Diego Martin when he accidentally shot himself in the head.
According to reports, Ambrose was with a friend and put the gun to his head as a joke.
The friend warned him not to play with the gun because it was loaded.
However, Ambrose thought it was all a joke and continued to pull the trigger.
He died at the scene.
Police are continuing investigations.
A 37-year-old Valsayn man is in hospital after his car plunged off the top floor of the carpark at Price Plaza, Chaguanas.
Darren John was rushed to the Chaguanas Health Facility around 3.20 Wednesday morning with spinal injuries.
He was later transferred to the Mt Hope hospital.
Reports indicate that the incident occurred after John lost money at a casino in Chaguanas.
Six months after the August earthquake ripped apart 50 acres of prime agricultural lands in Los Iros, farmers say they have received no assistance from the Government.
During a protest at Royal Engineer (RE) Road, Erin, farmers showed off fields of parched crops.
President of the Los Iros Hillview Farmers Association Reshianand Ramraj said the fields of produce withered because most of the major ponds in the area had dried up. More than 20 irrigation ponds were damaged by the 6.9 magnitude earthquake.
A woman believed to be in her early 20's has perished in a fire in Sealots.
The woman has not yet been identified.
Neighbours say that she only moved into the house recently and was staying there with another occupant who was not at home at the time.
Residents say they tried in vain to get the woman out of the house but it appeared as though she was locked in.
Firefighters found the body after putting out the blaze.
Investigations are continuing.

The 11-year-old girl who fell from a Maloney apartment building yesterday remains in hospital.
Rihanna Reid, who fell four storeys is said to be sedated at the Pediatric Unit of the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.
At the time of her fall, there was speculation that she had died, but it is believed that two awnings broke the child's fall.
In addition to being sedated, the child is also said to have suffered broken bones and other injuries.
Her condition is being monitored by hospital officials.
One man has been killed in an early morning crash.
Police say the victim identified as Roger D'Abreau was the front seat passenger in a car driven by friend Garcia when it slammed into a wall, then crashed into a post in Arouca.
Officers say D'Abreau died instantly, while the driver escaped serious injury.
They suspect the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel.

While most children would scream and run away from the sight of fire consuming their home, 11-year-old Jarell King was convinced that he could have saved his family’s house in Sobo Village, La Brea on Tuesday.
Jarrel, the eldest of Lydia and Gerard King’s three children, had already started filling a bucket of water when he alerted his grandmother Nell Henry about the fire which ignited in his parent’s bedroom.
