Mosquito Creek “a disaster waiting to happen”—Dr Suruj Rambachan

Former Works and Transport Minister Dr Suruj Rambachan said yesterday’s accident along Mosquito Creek was a disaster waiting to happen.

In a press release, Dr Rambachan said the recently opened section along the Creek was opened without any shoulder, and very narrow lanes. He says it is an example of the carelessness of the current government in treating with the lives and safety of citizens.

Minister of Works and Transport, Rohan Sinanan is asking members of the public to be patient with the Licensing Department, as he says the recent social media rumour about inspection stickers has created a flood of applicants, creating problems similar to what a run on a commercial entity does.

The Minister told CNC3 that inspection stickers are not printed years in advance and are usually done on a month-to-month basis.

Former Works and Infrastructure Minister Dr Suruj Rambachan says the situation involving the inspection of vehicles has highlighted a lack of management within the Licensing Department.

Dr Suruj Rambachan slams PM's "vomit" statement

Tabaquite MP Dr Suruj Rambachan is slamming the prime minister over what he has described as disgraceful “vomit” language.

In a statement on his Facebook page, Dr Rambachan says Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley is seeking to defend the purchase of a Mercedes Benz at a time when the people of the nation are being asked to make sacrifices.

The former government minister says it is clear to him that Dr Rowley and the PNM intend to have "a good time at the cost of the woes of the poor and downtrodden".
