National rower Felice Chow won silver in the time of 7:46.53 in Women's Singles Scull Final at the Pan American Games on Friday morning, at Albufera Medio Mundo in Lima, Peru. She won T&T's eighth medal of the Games.
T&T now has two gold (in cycling), four silver (in track cycling/road cycling/athletics/rowing) and a bronze (boxing & swimming).
T&T swimmers, Dylan Carter and Cadell Lyons both failed to qualify for the semifinals of their respective men's 50m freestyle and 100m butterfly events when at the 18th FINA World Championship which continued at the Nambu International Aquatic Centre, in Gwangju, South Korea on Friday.
The 23-year-old Carter who qualified for the 100m freestyle at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games on Tuesday night, had a disappointing end to the championship with a 41st place finish in the men's 50m freestyle.
Trinidad and Tobago's Dylan Carter has captured a silver medal in the 50 metres butterfly event at the Commonwealth Games.
Carter swam a time of 23.67 seconds to finish behind South Africa's Chad Le Clos in a time of 23.37 seconds.
Another South Arican, Ryan Coetzee was third.
Despite placing first in Heat 4 of the 100 metres freestyle swimming event at the Rio Olympics, T&T swimmer Dylan Carter has not qualified for the semi-finals.
Carter's heat-winning time of 48.80 seconds placed him 23rd on the list of competitors for the event.
