Hinds replaces Marlene as PNM deputy leader

PNM’s Laven­tille West MP Fitzger­ald Hinds has been ap­point­ed PNM deputy leader (leg­isla­tive) re­plac­ing PNM MP and for­mer min­is­ter Mar­lene Mc­Don­ald.

The an­nounce­ment was made at the end of yes­ter­day’s PNM con­ven­tion. Oth­er PNM deputies are Joan Yuille Williams, Ro­han Sinanan and PNM To­ba­go Leader Kelvin Charles. Hinds is min­is­ter in the At­tor­ney Gen­er­al’s Min­istry.

Hinds acts as Attorney General

The Ministry of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs says that Minister in the Ministry of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs, Fitzgerald Hinds will act as the Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs, in addition to the discharge of his normal duties, from October 14, 2018 and continuing during the absence from Trinidad and Tobago of Attorney General Faris Al-Rawi.

Man fined $400 for kicking water on Hinds

A 31-year-old man from Beetham Gardens, who cursed at and kicked flood water unto Laventille West MP Fitzgerald Hinds during an incident, last month, has been fined $400. 

Richard "Snake" Marcelle, of 17th Street, Beetham Gardens, was fined by Magistrate Sanara Toon-McQuilkin in the Port-of-Spain Magistrate's Court after pleading guilty to assault by beating and using obscene language during a hearing, this afternoon.
