Police are investigating a robbery and murder that took place in Gasparillo last night.
The victim has been identified as 37-year-old businessman Krishna Maharaj, of Reform Road.
According to reports, two men entered Maharaj's house around 10.30 pm and announced a hold-up.
Maharaj's wife and another occupant were also in the house at the time.
One of the bandits took Maharaj to the family's business place, a spa, located near to their home.
A 50-year-old Trinidad Cement Limited (TCL) employee has been discovered dead at her Gasparillo home, with her throat slit.
She has been identified as 50-year-old Sue Ann Titus.
The woman was discovered at her St. Fabien Road, Gasparillo home around 6:30 this morning.
Her father told police that he last saw his daughter speaking with a man whom she knew in the kitchen around 5 am.
