Six to appear in court charged with possession of gun & ammunition

Six persons, including a family of four, are expected to appear before a Sangre Grande Magistrate tomorrow, charged with two counts of possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Michelle Campo, 46; Kendell Campo, 22; Nakilia Campo, 18; Aisha Phill, 20; Jason Richards, 30; along with a 17-year-old minor, all of Valencia, were arrested after officers of the Valencia Criminal Investigations Department (CID), executed a search warrant at their home on Wednesday 23rd May, 2018, during an anti-crime exercise.

Shotgun, ammo found near abandoned towers in Endeavour

One shotgun and a quantity of ammunition were discovered by officers of the Central Division Task Force (CDTF), during an anti-crime exercise in the Chaguanas district.

Acting on information, officers of the CDTF, proceeded to a house along Mulchan Seuchan Road, Chaguanas, where a search was conducted and one homemade shotgun loaded with one round of twelve gauge ammunition was found wrapped in a black plastic bag, in the vicinity of what is commonly referred, as the ‘abandoned twin towers’ near the Endeavour flyover.

Two held for possession of Rossi revolver, ammunition

Two men are currently in police custody for possession of a firearm and ammunition, after being arrested during an anti-crime exercise in the La Romaine district earlier this morning.

The two men, ages 35 and 29, of La Brea and Embacadere respectively, were arrested around 12:10 am on Monday 14th May, 2018, by officers of the San Fernando Police Station, along Gulf View Link Road, La Romaine.

During the exercise, officers had cause to stop and search a burgundy Nissan Cefiro motor vehicle with two male occupants.

Police find shotgun inside fig patch

One shotgun was discovered by officers of the South Western Division, during an anti-crime exercise, in Chatham Village, Point Fortin, yesterday.

According to the TTPS, acting on information, officers of the Point Fortin Police Station went to a bushy area along Food Crop Road No. 2, Chatham Village, around 7:30 am on May, 10th 2018.

There, they conducted a search inside a fig patch and discovered one Conavenca 12 gauge shotgun with the markings ‘Hecho en Venezuela’, hidden in a white plastic bag.

No arrest was made in connection with the find. 

Police find revolver in Enterprise

A revolver was discovered by officers of the Central Division Task Force, during an anti-crime exercise, in the Enterprise district, over the weekend.

The exercise, coordinated by Snr. Supt. (Ag.) Inraj Balram, took place between 1 pm and 5:30 pm on Saturday 28th April, 2018.

Acting on information, officers proceeded to School Lane, Enterprise, where they found a backpack hanging on a fence.

A search of the bag resulted in officers finding the firearm.

No arrest was made in connection with the find.

Police seize Baretta pistol and loaded magazine in Beetham Gardens

A pistol and one loaded magazine have been seized by officers of the Besson Street Police Station.

CNC3 News understands during an anti-crime exercise on Thursday, officers acting on information proceeded to Phase 5, Beetham Gardens, in an area known as the ‘Garrison’, where a search was conducted.

There, the officers found one brown and silver 9mm Beretta pistol and a magazine loaded with four rounds of 9mm ammunition.

No one was arrested in connection with the find.

Belmont police seize Glock pistol, ammunition

Belmont police have seized a Glock pistol and eight rounds of ammunition in a police exercise.

According to reports, officers of the Belmont Crime Patrol Unit including Cpl Parris, PC Dyer,  PC Burke and PC John, conducted an operation in the Gonzales area where there have been numerous shootings recently.

The officers found a silver and black Glock pistol with eight rounds of 9mm ammunition.

The operation was supervised by Sgt Walker of the Belmont Police Station.

Investigations are ongoing.

Four teenaged sisters among six arrested on gun, ammunition offences

Six persons including four teenaged sisters are arrested and a gun and quantity of ammunition seized by officers of the Northern Division Task Force, during an anti-crime exercise in the Maloney district, on Tuesday.

The exercise, spearheaded by ACP (Ag.) McDonald Jacob and supervised by Sgt. Ishmael Pitt, was conducted, between 8 pm on Tuesday and 1 am on Wednesday.

During the exercise, officers proceeded to an apartment in Maloney Gardens, where they executed a search, which resulted in one Smith and Wesson revolver loaded with four rounds of .38 ammunition being seized.

Revolver, ammunition found hidden under coconut branches

A revolver and a quantity of ammunition were discovered by officers of the Penal Police Station during an anti-crime exercise, in the Cedros district, yesterday.

Police said in a statement that officers conducted the exercise around 2:30 pm on Monday 9th April, 2018, during which, based on information, they proceeded to an open area at Constance Estate, Icacos Village, where they found one Smith and Wesson revolver and five rounds of .38mm special ammunition, wrapped in a green jersey, hidden under some coconut branches.

No one was arrested in connection with the find.

Three arrested with shotgun, ammunition and weed

Three men were arrested and a shotgun and quantities of ammunition and marijuana seized by officers of the Northern Division Task Force, during an anti-crime exercise, conducted in the Arima district early this morning.

The exercise, coordinated by ACP (Ag.), McDonald Jacob, spearheaded by Snr. Supt. (Ag.), Michael Daniel and including officers of the St. Joseph CID, was conducted between 12:01 am and 3 am, on Thursday 5th April, 2018.
